Film night

If you are in the New York area, contact your local community and find out if they are participating in our larger Engaging Israel project. If they are, then you will find there are at least two public screenings of Israeli film and TV.

If they are not, put them in contact with Michael Mittelman at mittelman [at] jcrcny [dot] org and he’ll try to include them!

As well as going to your congregations’ screenings, you can also watch two films here online. Willingly is a short drama made by the Maaleh Film School in Jerusalem, about what happens in that Rabbinic divorce room… O My Homeland is a fascinating documentary exploring the place of Arab Israelis in the Jewish State.

For each film we have included some information and issues that you might find interesting to think over on watching the films.
